World’s Finest Assassin Receives Censored China Version

Earlier this month, the Isekai series “The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat” launched on Japanese television as well as simulcast on international VoD platforms. However, there appears to be a separate version for China, with some changes.

Panties Replaced by Pants

Rui Tsukiyo, author of the original light novel, posted two images on his Twitter account a few days ago that show the difference between the original Japanese version and the Chinese version. You can check them out below in the article.

On the comparison pictures you can see that a character in the Japanese version is shown in underpants, while these have been replaced by shorts in the Chinese version. Tsukiyo herself finds this depiction “more erotic and intriguing.”

“The World’s Finest Assassin” is directed by Masafumi Tamura (“The Misfit of Demon King Academy”) and produced by studios SILVER LINK (“A Chivalry of a Failed Knight”) and Palette. The streaming service Crunchyroll will simulcast the series with German subtitles.
