The official website for the anime adaptation of “WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me” (jap.: “Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!”) announced that the film, which was announced a few months ago, will be released in Japanese theaters next year. You can find a new visual below.
WATATEN! Film to be Made at Doga Kobo
The film is titled “Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! Precious Friends” and, like the series, is being directed by Daisuke Hiramaki at Doga Kobo (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun. The script is written by Yuka Yamada, while Hiromi Nakagawa contributes the character design and Flying Dog composes the music.
“WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me” aired on Japanese television between January and March 2019 and was simulcast in its original audio with German subtitles on Crunchyroll. A 24-minute OVA episode followed in May 2019.
The original manga was penned by Nanatsu Mukunoki and has been published in “Comic Yuri Hime” magazine since November 2016. The series is not yet available in this country.
WATATEN! Movie Plot
Miyako is a young student who lives a laid-back otaku existence. One day she meets a couple of angelic elementary school girls and when she meets her little sister’s new friend, Hana, her heart does a somersault! Miyako tries to befriend them, but encounters some problems along the way… A sketch comedy about a couple of ultra cute angels finds its beginning!
