Twin Star Exorcists Season 2: Will It Return?

Twin Star Exorcists is a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiaki Sukeno. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Jump Square since October 2013, with individual chapters collected into twenty-six tankobon volumes as of November 2021.

The series was adapted into an anime television series by Studio Pierrot, that ran from 2016 to 2017. The manga series has been licensed for an English language release in North America by Viz Media, publishing the first volume in 2015. A video game was developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the PS Vita and released on 2017 in Japan. As of December 2018, three light novels and two spin-off manga series have also been published and released in Japan. The fans, however, is still demanding for Twin Star Exorcists Season 2.

Magano, a parallel realm filled with monsters known as “Kegare,” is a place where exorcists deal with all impurities. Benio Adashino is a prodigy exorcist who is recognized for her strength and is summoned to Tokyo by the Exorcist Union. On her way, she plummets into the arms of Rokuro Enmadou, a young exorcist with a troubled past.

But the impurities of Magano do not rest. When these two exorcists witness a couple of children stolen by a Kegare, Benio rushes to save them, dragging Rokuro along with her into Magano. Engaged in a fight she is on the verge of being defeated in, Benio is saved by Rokuro, revealing himself capable of being her rival in talent.

The anime tells the story of two talented exorcists who are destined to become the “Twin Star Exorcists” and the prophesised parents of the Miko, the reincarnation of Abe no Seimei, who will cleanse the world of all impurities.

The ending of Twin Star Exorcists Season 1 was satisfying. But, it turns out it was still not satisfying enough for some viewers since it’s still leaving so many questions, making them demanding a sequel. However, Studio Pierrot (Bleach & Baby Steps) haven’t answered the requests. The Twin Star Exorcists Season 2 haven’t received an official confirmation of its renewal yet.

A lot of fans claimed that despite having a wholesome finale, the story of the series is still not complete. The creators are yet to answer many questions, including Benio and Rokuro’s marriage and if they later have the Miko child or not. Even though the plot went off the manga series, it still has a chance to get back on track. Or else, Twin Star Exorcists Season 2 can take some inspiration from some of the latest manga volumes. So, the fans believes there’s still hope for more content, and we hope the studio hears their demands.
