Tokyo Twenty Fourth Ward Plot
The anime is set on an artificial island floating in Tokyo Bay called “Kyokutou Horeigai Tokubetsu Chiku” (Far East Special District Outside the Law), nicknamed the “24th Ward.” It centers on three childhood friends who were born and raised on the island: Ran, Koki and Shuta.
They have different social positions, hobbies and personalities, but they always hang out together. However, their relationships change dramatically after a certain incident.
A year later, they meet again by chance at a memorial service – and their phones start ringing simultaneously. The call is from a friend they thought was dead, asking them to “choose the future.” Each believes in their own way of acting to save the future of the people of the 24th Ward.
