To Become a Real Heroine! New Anime Announced

Japanese music group HoneyWorks announced that an anime series for the song “Heroine Tarumono!” is currently in the works, which will be launched on Japanese television in April 2022.

To Become a Real Heroine! Release Date

The anime adaptation, titled To Become a Real Heroine! The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task, directed by Noriko Hashimoto at Studio Lay-duce. Yoshimi Narita (I-CHU) writes the screenplay, while Kaori Ishii (Savage Season) contributes the character design and serves as Chief Animation Director. HoneyWorks and Moe Hyuga compose the music.

The film stars Inori Minase (Liscia in Realist Hero) as Hiyori Suzumi, Kouki Uchiyama (Ikuya in Free!) as Yuujirou Someya, Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka in Free!) as Aizou Shibasaki, Ayane Sakura (Saki in Girlfriend, Girlfriend) as Juri Hattori and Saori Hayami (Miyuki in The Honor at Magic High School and The Irregular at Magic High School) as Chizuru Nakamura.

In the past, several songs by the vocaloid group HoneyWorks have already been implemented as anime, most recently with the series “Our Love Has Always Been 10 Centimeters Apart”.

To Become a Real Heroine! Plot

Hiyori leaves her hometown to pursue her passion, athletics, and enrolls at Sakuragaoka High School in Tokyo. In search of a part-time job, she ends up as a supervisor in training with her classmates and members of the band “LIP×LIP”.

The story revolves around Hiyori’s coming of age as she balances school, extracurricular life, and management, and LIP×LIP as they shine on stage.
