As part of the KADOKAWA Light Novel Expo, it was announced that the anime adaptation of The Devil is a Part-Timer! (Jap.: “Hataraku Maou-sama!”) will continue with a second season, in which all well-known Japanese speakers will once again participate. You can see a first teaser below.
The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2 Release Date
The first season was directed by Naoto Hosoda (“Mirai Nikki”) in the studio WHITE FOX. Touko Machida, Kento Shimoyama and Masahiro Yokotani wrote the script, while Ryosuke Nakanishi composed the music. Who is responsible for the The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2 and when it will start on Japanese television is not yet known.
The 13 episodes of the first season of “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” were broadcast in Japan between April and June 2013.
The original light novel was written by Satoshi Wagahara and was published by Kadokawa between February 2011 and August 2020 with drawings by 029. With 21 volumes, the series is now considered to be complete.

The Devil is a Part-Timer! Season 2 Storyline
All of Ente Isla trembles before Satan, the cruel and terrible demon lord. Only the heroine Emilia dares to oppose him and his dark hordes. During the fateful battle, Satan, together with his general Alsiel, is transported to an other dimension – the Tokyo of modern times. Greatly weakened, the two demons must now somehow make ends meet until they find a way back to Ente Isla.
And so Satan takes a part-time job in a fast food store under the name Sadao Maoh. But Emilia has followed the two demons into the strange world to destroy them for good. And she seems not to be the only one …
