On the official website of the anime adaptation of “The Dawn of the Witch” (jap.: “Mahoutsukai Reimeiki”) it was announced that the series will start in April 2022 on Japanese TV. In addition, a first visual was released, which you can check out below.
The Dawn of the Witch Anime is being created by Tezuka Productions
“The Dawn of the Witch” is being directed by Satoshi Kuwabara (“Girlfriend, Girlfriend”) at Tezuka Productions studio. Kuwabara is also handling series composition, while Reina Iwasaki (animation director on “TONIKAWA ~SNS~”) is contributing character design.
The main cast features Miho Okasaki (Rimuru Tempest in “TenSura“) as Roux Krystas, Shuichiro Umeda (Makoto Miki in “The World Ends with You”) as Saybil, Sayumi Suzushiro (Kei Shirogane in “Kaguya-sama“) and Taku Yashiro (Ares in “Banished from the Hero’s Party“) as Kudou.
The original light novel was penned by Kakeru Kobashiri, who also wrote “Grimoire of Zero,” and has been published since August 2018 with illustrations by Takashi Iwasaki by Japanese publisher Kodansha, which has so far released three volumes.
