Mangaka Kiseki Himura recently announced on his Twitter account that the web anime Tawawa on Monday (jap.: “Getsuyoubi no Tawawa”) will receive a second season.
Tawawa on Monday Season 2
The sequel to the short anime, which is being directed by Yuuki Ogawa (Interspecies Reviewers) at the Studio Yokohama Animation Lab, started today in Japan and is available via the streaming service Crunchyroll in original sound with English subtitles on demand. Anime launches in September 2021.
The film stars Sayaka Harada as Ai-chan, Ai Kayano as Kouhai-chan, Shizuka Ishigami as Volley-bu-chan, Junji Majima as Onii-san and Yasuaki Takumi as Senpai. The Japanese voice cast is complemented by Rie Takahashi as Maegami-chan, Yuka Iguchi as Imouto-chan, Kikuko Inoue as Okaa-san and Junichi Yanagita as Sensei.
The first season of the web anime “Tawawa on Monday” was released in Japan between October 10, 2016 and December 26, 2016. The manga by Kiseki Himura currently counts two volumes.

Storyline of Tawawa on Monday
The anime follows an employee who happens to meet a girl named Ai on the train. They begin to meet on the train every Monday, with the man serving as their bodyguard during the crowded ride while they converse.
