Summertime Render: First teaser of the anime released

On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of Bright Sun: Dark Shadows (jap.: “Summer Time Rendering”) a teaser was released, which you can watch further down in the article. In addition, the first details about the contributors were revealed.

The start of the series, which is directed by Ayumu Watanabe (Doraemon), is planned for 2022. Hiroshi Seko (Ajin) writes the script and takes over the series composition, while Miki Matsumoto (Angels of Death) contributes the character design.

The original manga series was penned by Yasunori Tanaka and was released in the “Shonen Jump+” app between October 2017 and February 2021. The mystery work has a total of 139 chapters, which have been summarized in 13 volumes.

The ninth volume went on sale on September 2, 2021. In addition to the anime, a live-action adaptation is also in the works.
