On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of “Ikki Tousen”, it was announced that the manga series “Shin Ikkitousen” (Eng.: “New Battle Vixens, Dragon Girls”) will receive an anime adaptation next year.

Like the previous “Ikki Tousen” manga, “Shin Ikki Tousen” was penned by Yuji Shiozaki. The series has been published in the Japanese publisher Shonen Gahosha’s “Young King Ours” magazine since November 2015 and counts four volumes so far.

Set after the manga series “Ikki Tousen,” which was adapted as a 13-part anime series titled “Battle Vixens: Ikki Tousen” in the summer of 2003, the work focuses on a new main heroine. It also serves as a sequel to the OVA “Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves.”
