On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of “Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles” it was announced that the series will continue with a second season.

The first season of the Isekai anime was directed by Osamu Yamasaki (“ItaKiss”) at the Wao World and TMS Entertainment studios. Yamasaki also co-wrote the script with Yoshiko Nakamura, Megumu Sasano and Mitsutaka Hirota.

“Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles” is based on the light novel of the same name by author Yuri Kitayama, which has been published by Hobby Japan since October 2015 with illustrations by Riv. The twelve-episode first season aired on Crunchyroll’s simulcast in summer 2021.

Seirei Gensouki (Spirit Chronicles) Plot

Haruto had only one goal in mind all his life: to win back his childhood love! However, this suddenly disappears in high school and Haruto is killed at the age of 20 in a bus accident. Afterwards, he only remembers waking up in a freezing cold room located in the slums of another world.

He was reborn as Rio after his death. Now he is a seven-year-old refugee child living in a fantasy kingdom. With the knowledge from his previous life, Rio now begins a new chapter in his life.
