Release Date of the Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 + Trailer

As part of Crunchyroll Expo 2022, it was announced that the Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 will launch in Japan in January 2023. You can find a first trailer further down in the article.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 to be made at BONES

The fourth season of the action series will be produced again under the direction of director Takuya Igarashi (“Soul Eater”) at studio BONES (Noragami Season 3, Mob Psycho 100 Season 3, My Hero Academia Season 6). Youji Enokido (“Ouran High School Host Club”) is penning the script, while Nobuhiro Arai (“Chaika -The Coffin Princess-“) is again contributing the character design. The familiar voice actors can once again be heard in the main roles.

The first two seasons are available on demand in the original Japanese audio with Englsih subtitles at Crunchyoll, while the third season cannot be streamed there. The provider already confirmed that they will simulcast the new episodes with English subtitles.

The twelve-part first season of “Bungo Stray Dogs” ran in Japan in the spring season of 2016. The twelve-part second season started in fall 2016, followed by the twelve-part third season in spring 2019.

Bungo Stray Dogs Storyline

Atsushi Nakajima is pursued by a bestial white tiger and has no idea that the threat lives inside him – an ability that attracts the attention of the armed detective team. The team uses inhuman abilities to fight crime and takes Atsushi under the wing of its most eccentric member, Dazai. Together they solve mafia mysteries while the enemies keep an eye on the tiger’s high bounty.
