Reincarnated as a Sword receives an anime adaptation

On the cover of the twelfth volume of the light novel Reincarnated as a Sword (jap.: “Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita”) it was announced that this will receive an anime adaptation.

So far, it is only known that the adaptation is a series that will soon be broadcast on Japanese television. Further details, such as the contributors or a start date, have not yet been mentioned. We’ll keep you posted.

The original light novel by Yuu Tanaka has been published in Japan since July 2016 with illustrations by LLO and so far comprises twelve volumes. A manga adaptation by Tomoo Maruyama has been published in “Denshi Birz” magazine since December 2016. This currently consists of ten volumes.

A spin-off manga by Hinako Inoue entitled Reincarnated as a Sword: Another Wish (Jap.: “Tensei shitara Ken deshita: Another Wish”) started in June 2020 in “Comic Ride” magazine. The original work is available in English from Seven Seas Entertainment.
