Police in a Pod Anime Release Date + Trailer

On the official Twitter account of the upcoming anime series “Police in a Pod” (jap.: “Hakozume: Koban Joshi no Gyakushuu”), a trailer was released today revealing some new details.

The video, which you can watch below, introduces, among other things, the opening song “Shiranakya,” which is sung by Riko Azuna. The ending theme “Change” is contributed by singer nonoc. In addition, the voice cast is introduced, which you can find below the trailer.

“Police in a Pod” will launch on Japanese television in January 2022 and is being directed by Yuuzou Satou (“Hunter x Hunter Movie: Phantom Rouge”) at Studio Madhouse. Ryuunosuke Kingetsu (“Samurai Girls”) is responsible for series composition, while Kei Tsuchiya (“Laidbackers”) serves as character designer and Tomo Nobusawa composes the music.

The original manga by Miku Yasu has been published in “Morning” magazine since November 2017. So far, 18 volumes have appeared in Japanese stores. The 19th volume has been announced for November 22, 2021. Anime (Absolute Duo, The Irregular at Magic High School & The Vampire Dies in No Time).

Police in a Pod Plot

A fresh-faced and naive policewoman, Mai Kawai, works at the Machiyama Police Station. She chose her job only because of the secure income and is actually not satisfied with it at all. She even thinks about quitting the unloved service and returning her registration. In contrast, Seiko Fuji, who is transferred to Machiyama, is a successful and exemplary police officer. How will the two of them work together?
