Online events for SAO and Made in Abyss planned

Fans of the two anime series Sword Art Online and Made in Abyss, which are located outside of Japan, will soon be able to enjoy two new online events that were announced a few days ago. We summarize the most important details for you.

The first event is the Sword Art Online: Ex-Chronicle exhibition, which took place as a physical event in Tokyo in 2019 and Kyoto in 2020 and will receive an online version called “Sword Art Online: Ex-Chronicle Online Edition” this year.

The Japanese edition will be held from November 20, 2021 to December 7, 2021 and will cost 1,800 yen (about 14 euros) via smartphone and PC and 2,300 yen (around 18 euros) on VR devices. The global edition of the event is planned for the course of 2022. A concrete date as well as details on ticket sales are to be announced within the next few months.

The second event is titled “Made in Abyss Online Fan Meeting – Cave Raiders Guild Rally” and will take place on November 21, 2021. The contributors of the anime want to look back on the events so far together with the fans before the start of the second season.

For fans outside japan, tickets cost 3,000 yen (about 23 euros). A lottery system also offers the opportunity to ask questions during the event. The pre-sale starts on October 2, 2021. The recording is expected to be available by November 28, 2021.
