Netflix Release Of The Anime “Lookism” Postponed With Trailer

The official Twitter account of streaming service Netflix announced today that the release of the anime adaptation of “Lookism” (kor.: “Oemojisangjuui”), previously scheduled for November 4, 2022, has been postponed indefinitely.

The Season Has Not Been Confirmed Yet

The reason for the postponement has not yet been officially confirmed. However, there could be a connection with the “Souel Halloween Stampede.” On October 29, 2022, a stampede occurred in the capital city of Souel during Halloween festivities, killing more than 150 people. President Yoon Suk Yeol declared a nationwide mourning period until November 5, 2022.

“Lookism” is being made under the direction of director Han Kwang Il at South Korea’s Studio Mir. Lee Dae Woo serves as the art director, while Han Kyung Hoon is responsible for the music. You can watch the first trailer further down in this article.

The original Manwha was penned by Tae-Jun Park and launched in 2014 on the website Naver Webtoon. So far, 420 chapters have been published in 19 volumes.
