Already a few months ago we could inform you that the manga “More Than a Doll” (jap.: “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru”) gets an anime adaptation. Now, a first visual and details about the contributors have been revealed via the Twitter account for the adaptation.
Anime to be Produced by CloverWorks
The TV series, whose start date has not yet been named, will be directed by Keisuke Shinohara (“BLACKFOX,” “A3!”) at the studio CloverWorks (In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, Spy x Family & Shadows House). Yoriko Tomita (“Fire Force”) is writing the script and also composing the series.
Kazumasa Ishida (“Saekano the Movie finale”) contributes character design and serves as animation director, while Takeshi Nakatsuka (“Magical Girl Ore”) composes the music and Akiko Fujita (“Jujutsu Kaisen”) is responsible for sound direction.
“More Than a Doll” by Shinichi Fukuda, “My Dress-Up Darling” in English, has been published in “Young Gangan” magazine since January 2018. So far, seven volumes have been published in Japan. The eighth volume is scheduled for October 25, 2021.
