The Japanese publisher KADOKAWA announced that the light novel Management of Novice Alchemist (Jap.: “Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei”) will receive an anime adaptation.

So far, it is only certain that the anime adaptation will be a series to be broadcast on Japanese television. Further details, such as the participants in the production team or a start date, are still pending.
The original light novel was written by Mizuho Itsuki (Isekai Teni, Jirai-tsuki), who has been publishing it since September 2019 with illustrations by Fuumi under KADOKAWA’s label Fantasia Bunko. The fifth volume entered Japanese stores today.

The story follows Sarasa, an orphan girl who has just graduated from the Royal Alchemist School. After being given a remote shop by her teacher, she begins her long-dreamed life as an alchemist. But what awaits her is a shop in the wasteland that is more run-down than she ever imagined.
As she collects ingredients, educates herself, and sells goods to become an upright alchemist, she tries to live her laid-back alchemist life.
