For more than three years, fans have been waiting for the announcement of Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2. Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi or also known as Bed and Breakfast for Spirit is one of the unique anime and viewers have really liked its concept. The first season of Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi contains 26 episodes in total. As a result, all anime lovers internationally demand the studio to make Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 right after the first installment ended.
Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi is a Japanese supernatural rom-com anime series. It actually comes from a light novel series with the same title written by Midori Yuuma back in 2015. The light novel itself is still ongoing with 11 volumes published. Later in 2016, this story was adapted into a manga series illustrated by Waco Ioka. Also two years after that, Gonzo Studio decided to transform it into an anime series directed by Yoshiko Okuda and written by Tomoko Konparu. Now fans are eagerly waiting for the Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2.
Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 1: Plotline
The story revolves around a college-going teenager, named Aoi Tsubaki, who can see spirits. She inherited the power of seeing the Ayakashi, a supernatural creature, from her grandfather. She started to learn her ability to see and live together in peace with spirit when Aoi’s mother abandoned her.
The time came when Aoi’s grandfather passed away too. Aoi was left to look after herself. One day, Aoi came across a torii shrine and there was a spirit sitting on top of it that was later revealed to be hungry. Aoi decided to feed the spirit. However, an Ogre accompanied the spirit. He kidnapped Aoi and she ended up in the Hidden Realm. This is where all spirits lived. The name of the ogre was Odanna.
The ogre claimed that Shiro, Aoi’s grandfather owed Odanna a massive debt before his passing, and now, it was Aoi’s responsibility to pay it. Scared and confused, Aoi was shocked with her family’s truth that reveals all of the sudden. He asked to marry Aoi to pay the debt, but Aoi managed to strike a deal with him and began working in his inn, tenjin’, in order to pay off her grandfather’s debt.
Aoi was talented in the kitchen and has the ability to turn raw material into an awesome cook. Soon, other Ayakashis also got impressed with her. Due to this, Aoi fell into several troubles. However, Odanna saved her every time she fell into trouble. Gradually they both developed romantic feelings for each other.
Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2: Renewal Status
Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi first season produced by Studio Gonzo received a great response from the viewers. With all the good ratings, great reviews, and high demands from fans, the producer still has not given us any update regarding Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2. The fan base itself is more than ready to play the next sequel on their screen because there are a lot of aspects in Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi that people are waiting for such as the plotline, their uniqueness also isekai into the spirit world.
With the high demand for this rom-com series, people worry about source material. This anime was an adaptation to the light novel storyline. The light novel itself until now has 11 volumes and the first season of Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi only covered 5 volumes. So Studio Gonzo has 6 more volumes to make the next season; that’s more than enough to become the source of the plotline. With that facts, fans want to the producers give them an official announcement for the future of this anime

As we mentioned above, Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi or Bed and Breakfast for Spirit has a good rating and got a hit amongst fans. The series also met positive critical reviews. So the studio actually does not have any excuse to not make Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2. With three years gap, we think it’s already time for the production to give us any official announcement regarding the renewal or cancellation of this anime.

Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits is a Japanese light novel series written by Midori Yūma and illustrated by Laruha. Fujimi Shobo have published eleven volumes since 2015 under their Fujimi L Bunko imprint.
Abandoned as a child by her mother, Aoi Tsubaki has always had the ability to see “ayakashi”—spirits from the Hidden Realm. Shirou Tsubaki, her grandfather who shared the same ability, took her under his wing and taught her how to live with the ayakashi in peace. When her grandfather abruptly passes away, the independent Aoi must continue her college career, armed with only her knowledge in cooking as a means of protection against the human-eating spirits. In hopes that the ayakashi will not turn to her or other unknowing humans as a tasty meal, she takes it upon herself to feed the hungry creatures that cross her path.
After giving a mysterious ayakashi her lunch, Aoi is transported to the Hidden Realm, where the ayakashi reveals himself to be an ogre-god known as Oodanna, the “Master Innkeeper.” There, she learns that she was used as collateral for her grandfather’s debt of one hundred million yen, and that she must pay the price for her grandfather’s careless decision by marrying Oodanna. Aoi valiantly refuses and decides to settle things on her own terms: she will pay off the debt herself by opening an eatery at Oodanna’s inn.
