JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean Anime

I can’t live without JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, and it’s also what inspired me to take on voice acting as a profession. So when I heard I was going to be able to participate in the series, I ran out of words and was surprised that “Even a Stand would fly to the moon.” I cried as much as it was literally the moment when my dream came true, which I have pursued for 12 years.

I love and admire Jolyne as a character and her beautiful and strong nature gave me strength, especially during my student years, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to express Jolyne.

Stone Ocean Anime Confirmed

The manga is the sixth part of Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga, and continues the story of previous entries. The manga takes place in 2011, after Golden Wind, and focuses on Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Stardust Crusaders star Jotaro Kujo. After Jolyne is charged with murder and sent to prison, she must face a former follower of Dio.

As of writing, there’s no Stone Ocean release date to speak of. But that’s not to say we’ll be waiting years to see it.

A cursory glance at how Golden Wind (the season prior to Stone Ocean) was first shown off to the world helps us gain a better understanding of when to expect the new chapter. Announced on June 21, 2018, Golden Wind was almost immediately revealed to be streaming on Crunchyroll for the Fall 2018 anime season. No such luck this time around, however. That indicates one of two things: a 2022 release date or the show is waiting for the traditional mid-year to announce its inclusion as part of the Fall 2021 lineup.

Stone Ocean’s arc of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure was developed between 1999 and 2003, and has 17 volumes, consisting of volumes 64 to 80 of the general manga.

David Production has produced anime television series for all previous parts of the manga. The anime of the first two arcs, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, aired as a 26-episode series in 2012-2013. The anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders aired for 24 episodes in 2014, and the second half, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Battle in Egypt Arc, aired for 24 episodes in 2015. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable aired for 39 episodes in 2016. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind aired for 39 episodes in 2018-2019.

Crunchyroll has broadcast the entire anime while it was broadcasting. Viz Media is releasing the anime in North America and has released it through JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

Stone Ocean Action

In Florida, 2011, Jolyne Kuujou sits in a jail cell like her father Joutarou once did; yet this situation is not of her own choice. Framed for a crime she didn’t commit, and manipulated into serving a longer sentence, Jolyne is ready to resign to a dire fate as a prisoner of Green Dolphin Street Jail. Though all hope seems lost, a gift from Joutarou ends up awakening her latent abilities, manifesting into her Stand, Stone Free. Now armed with the power to change her fate, Jolyne sets out to find an escape from the stone ocean that holds her.

However, she soon discovers that her incarceration is merely a small part of a grand plot: one that not only takes aim at her family but has additional far-reaching consequences. What’s more, the mastermind is lurking within the very same prison and is under the protection of a lineup of menacing Stand users. Finding unlikely allies to help her cause, Jolyne sets a course to stop their plot, clear her name, and take back her life.
