Sale of Unauthorized Masks
Japanese website Livedoor NEWS reported a few days ago that Itabashi Police Station arrested a 66-year-old man for allegedly printing and selling masks featuring characters from the “Demon Slayer” and “Jujutsu Kaisen” series without authorization.
The man fully admitted the charges against him, confessing in his statement, “I thought if I used popular characters, many people would buy it.”
The man allegedly printed the masks from his computer in his home between April 23 and July 16, 2021, and offered them through an auction platform. According to police, the man had stored on the computer about 700 images of the series “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Demon Slayer” that he found on the Internet.
