In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki Gets Anime Adaptation

The Japanese company Aniplex announced that the slice-of-life manga “In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki” (jap.: “Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi”) will get an anime adaptation. You can see a first teaser video further down in this article.

In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki Anime Release Date

The anime series is being directed by Takudai Kakuchi (“Tokyo Autumn Session”) at studio CloverWorks (Spy x Family, Shadows House, & Akebi Sailor Uniform). Konomi Shugo is handling series composition, while Yousuke Okuda (“Is the Order a Rabbit?”) is contributing character design and Yuusuke Shirato is composing music.

The main character Tsubaki Kunoichi is voiced by Yuuko Natsuyoshi, who also sings the ending song “Akane-gumi Katsudou Nisshi ~Inuhan~,” which is introduced in the first teaser. The Japanese TV launch is scheduled for later next year.

The original manga was penned by Souichirou Yamamoto (“Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san”) and has been published in “Gessan” magazine since January 2018. The publisher Shogakukan has so far released five volumes in Japanese stores. The series is not yet available in this country.
