On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of “In/Spectre” (jap.: “Kyokou Suiri”) it was announced that the second season will start in the course of next year on Japanese television. You can see a new trailer further down in this article.

In/Spectre Season 2 Release Date

The second season of “In/Spectre” will once again be produced under the direction of director Keiji Gotou (“Sengoku Collection”) at Studio Brain’s Base (Blood Lad, Spice and Wolf, To Your Eternity, Kiss Him Not Me & Gakuen Babysitters). Noboru Takagi (“Kuroko’s Basketball”) is writing the script, while Kentarou Matsumoto (“Grimm’s Notes”) is contributing character design. The main roles again feature Akari Kitou as Kotoko and Mamoru Miyano as Kuro.

The twelve-episode first season aired on Japanese television in the 2020 winter season and was simulcast here in the original audio with English subtitles on Crunchyroll.

“In/Spectre” is based on the novel of the same name by Kyo Shirodaira, which has been adapted as a manga by Chashiba Katase in “Shonen Magazine R” since April 2015. The eleventh volume will go on sale on February 9, 2022.
