I’m Quitting Heroing Receives an Anime Adaptation + Trailer

Japan’s KADOKAWA announced today that the light-novel series “I’m Quitting Heroing: I’ve Already Got a Job Lined Up at the Demon Lord’s Castle” (jap.: “Yuusha, Yamemasu: Tsugi no Shokuba wa Maoujo”) will receive an anime adaptation as a TV series.

The anime adaptation is being directed by Hisashi Ishii (chief director on “Kuma Kuma Bear”) at studio EMT Squared (Love Tyrant, Assassins Pride). Yuu Nobuta (“The Faraway Paladin“) serves as chief director, while Shigeru Murakoshi (“Zombie Land Saga Revenge”) handles series composition and Hiroki Nakano (“Kuma Kuma Bear”) contributes character design.

Starring roles include Kensho Ono (Testuya Kuroko in “Kuroko’s Basketball”) as Leo Demonheart, Kaede Hondo (Sakura Minamoto in “Zombie Land Saga”) as Echidna, Shizuka Ito as Shtina, Hitomi Owada as Lili, Uchiyama Yumi as Mernes and Tetsu Inada as Edvard.

The series, which will launch on Japanese television in April 2022, is based on the light novel of the same name by author Quantum, which has been published by KADOKAWA since December 2017 with illustrations by Hana Amano. The fourth volume was published in August 2020.
