Hunter x Hunter celebrates anniversary with a new illustration

The 148-part anime (Absolute Duo, The Irregular at Magic High School & The Vampire Dies in No Time) adaptation of “Hunter x Hunter“, which aired on Japanese television between October 2011 and September 2014, was directed by Hiroshi Koujina (The Vampire Dies in No Time) at Studio Madhouse.

The character design was contributed by Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Overlord), who also created the illustration for the anniversary, while Yoshihisa Hirano composed the music.

The original manga series Hunter x Hunter by Yoshihiro Togashi has been published at irregular intervals in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine since March 1998. So far, 36 volumes have been published in Japanese trade. In Germany, the series is published by CARLSEN MANGA.

Gon is a little boy who loves nature and its creatures. That’s why he wants to become a Hunter, just like his father. On the way to his big goal he has to pass some difficult tests, but Gon and his new friends Kurapika, Leorio and Killua learn very quickly that you can achieve more if you stick together.
