Goodbye, DonGlees! Film being made at Madhouse
“Goodbye, DonGlees!” is being made at Madhouse studio under the direction of Atsuko Ishizuka (“Yorimoi”), who is also writing the screenplay. Takahiro Yoshimatsu (“Hunter x Hunter“) is responsible for character design, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (“Gate“) is composing the music.
The main roles feature Natsuki Hanae (Tanjirou in “Demon Slayer“) as Roma Kamogawa, Yuki Kaji (Eren in “Attack on Titan“) as Hokuto Mitarai, Ayumu Murase (Shouyou in “Haikyu!!”) as Shizuku Sakuma and Kana Hanazawa (Mayuri in “Steins;Gate”) as Chibori Urayasu.
The story revolves around miraculous encounters between boys. As in “A Place Further Than the Universe,” the setting of the film, which is meant to change one’s way of life, will not be limited to Japan. Goodbye, DonGlees! Plot
A young boy named Roma lives in a rural town near Tokyo. He can’t seem to fit in with his surroundings. He and Toto, who is also an outsider, form their own team called “DonGlees”. The friendship is meant to last even when Toto goes to high school in Tokyo and the two are separated.
Summer vacation in the first year of high school. It started with a casual remark by Drop, a new member of the “DonGlees.” Roma and the other two are blamed for a forest fire and are now forced to search for the drone that disappeared in the sky to prove their innocence. The small summer adventure soon turns into a big experience that will drastically change the boys’ lives.
