Ganbare Douki-chan Receives an Anime Adaptation

On the official Twitter account of Ganbare Douki-chan it was recently announced that the doujinshi manga will receive an anime adaptation. You can see a first visual below.

Ganbare Douki-chan Anime Releases in September 2021

The web series, which is based on the original work by author and illustrator Yomu, which so far includes three volumes, will start on September 20, 2021 on the streaming service ABEMA TV. The series is directed by Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend) at Studio AtelierPontdarc.

Yoshiko Nakamura (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun) writes the script, while Yuki Morikawa contributes the character design. Ryousuke Naya (Remake our Life!) is the sound director.

The film stars Nene Hieda (Momoka Yashiro in “Gundam Build Divers”) as Douki-chan, Sumire Uesaka (Sanae Dekomori in “Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!”) as Kouhai-chan, Asami Seto (Atsumu Matsuyuki in “AnoHana“) as Senpai-san and Junya Enoki (Naoya Mukai in “Girlfriend, Girlfriend”) as Douki-kun. Each episode will be about five minutes long.
