Fantasy novel “Kijin Gentosho” receives anime adaptation

The series is set in the Edo period of Japan and is about Jinta, the bodyguard of the priestess Itsukihime in a remote village in the mountains. Although he is a stranger, he is given the task of eliminating a demon, but Jinta predicts a mysterious future.

The original light novel by Motoo Nakanishi, of which there are now over 230,000 copies in circulation, started in June 2019 with illustrations by Tamaki in Japan and so far counts seven volumes. An eighth volume is announced for October 2021. The first volume of yuu Satomi’s manga adaptation went on sale in Japan on September 6, 2021.
