Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date & Simulcast

On the official website of the anime adaptation of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba new details for the broadcast of the second season were announced. In addition, it is clear which providers will show the new episodes in the simulcast.

The second season will therefore start on October 10, 2021 with the “Mugen Train” arc, which was previously adapted to the series in the film. The first episode, which has a running time of one hour, should offer completely new content and show the day before the events in the movie. The remaining six episodes of the arc also promise some new scenes and revised music.

The Demon Slayer Season 2 “Entertainment Districtarc starts on December 5, 2021. The first episode is also a one-hour special. The broadcast of the complete second season will span two consecutive cours (three months each) – from October 2021 to March 2022.

The sequel to the popular Shonen anime is again being directed by Haruo Sotozaki in the studio ufotable. The opening song of the “Mugen Train” arc is titled “Akeboshi” and, like the ending “Shirogane”, comes from LiSA. Aimer sings the opening “Zankyosanka” as well as the ending “Asa ga kuru” to the “Entertainment District” arc. The demon Daki is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro.

Tanjiro and his friends accompany Demon Slayer Tengen Uzui to an entertainment district. There his spies were supposed to collect information about a demon… until they all disappeared without a trace. In order to obtain information, Tanjiro and the others must resort to extraordinary means. But the demon is already on their heels.
