Streaming provider Crunchyroll announced today that it has secured the rights to the anime adaptation of “Arknights” and will show it in a simulcast.

“Arknights: Prelude to Dawn” (jap.: “Arknights: Reimei Zensou”) is being produced under the direction of director Yuuki Watanabe (animation director on “Holy Knight Light”) at Studio Yostar Pictures. Masataka Nishikawa (Animation Director on “SSSS.DYNAZENON”) serves as Assistant Director, while Yuuki Hayashi is responsible for the musical score.
The main cast features Tomoyo Kurosawa (Ulti in “One Piece”) as Amiya, Shizuka Ishigami (Garnet in “Dr. STONE”) as Ch’en, Youko Hikasa (Tio in “ARIFURETA”) as Kal’tsit, and Yuki Kaida as the Doctor. The series will begin airing on Japanese television on October 28, 2022.
“Arknights” is a mobile game from Chinese developers Montagne and Hypergryph. A worldwide release was made in January 2020.
