In a few weeks, the live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop” will be released on Netflix. To coincide with this, the streaming service has now published a first teaser on YouTube, which you can watch together with the opening video below in this article.
Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Series in November on Netflix
The teaser shows first glimpses of the series, which will be available worldwide on Netflix from November 19, 2021. Meanwhile, the opening video is based on the anime original and also features the song “Tank!” by Youko Kanno’s band Seatbelts.
The adaptation, which will initially consist of ten episodes, was directed by Alex Garcia Lopez and Michael Katleman and shot at Tomorrow Studios. Hajime Yatate penned the script, while Shinichiro Watanabe, director of the anime series, served as a consultant.
The 26-part original anime “Cowboy Bebop” launched on Japanese television in the spring of 1998 and is available in English and Japanese language editions on DVD and Blu-ray. Netflix will offer the original series worldwide on demand starting tomorrow.
