Although it’s been a long time since the Classroom of the Elite ended, surely we all still hope that there will be Classroom of the Elite Season 2, right?
As part of an event for the anime adaptation of “Classroom of the Elite” (Japanese: “Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e”), it was announced today that the sequel announced a few weeks ago will be two new seasons of the series .
The reason why we love anime so much is because it destroys our conventional perspective or way of thinking about things. Be it world, earth, aliens, love, games or even school.
Like when we hear the word ‘school’, what pops into our heads? Uniforms, friends, teachers, blackboards, lunch boxes, pencils, notebooks, and so on, right?
So far, we view school as a place or institution where we receive education and prepare ourselves for the future. However, the ‘Classroom of the Elite’ has taken the definition of school to a completely different level. Students are not only tested on theory or written exams, but something that goes far beyond all of that.
Classroom of the Elite or Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e is based on the light novel which was also adapted into the manga series Youkoso Jitsuryoku in January 2016. Written by Syohgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Yuyu Ichino, the manga is now up to Volume 9. Studio Lerche (Given) has supported the anime series.
The anime’s first season includes stories from the first three manga books that went on to become huge hits. Fans loved the anime. There are now 15 light series volumes that have yet to be adapted for an anime series.
This means that there are still many more episodes to be made from the available materials and content. The anime is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name spanning 18 volumes.
Fans now want to know if they should look forward to Classroom of the Elite Season 2.
Classroom of the Elite Season 2: When Will It be Back?
There is official release date for Classroom of the Elite Season 2 as the second season was confirmed. Most likely we will never get a release date for the second season of this anime.
Classroom of The Elite Season 2 Release Date
The second season will premiere on Japanese television in July 2022, followed by the third season, which is scheduled to air in Japan over the next year. The sequel adapts the complete story of the first year from the original light novel. You can see a first teaser video and a visual further down in this article.
If you’re desperate that Classroom of the Elite will never be released, you can also start reading light novels from volume 4 because the anime, which has aired season 1, covers volumes 1 to 3.
Classroom of The Elite Season 2 Plot
We all hope that Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 will follow Volume 4. The next story is group battles on cruise ships. However, this time all the students have been separated and divided based on their respective zodiac signs into 12 groups.
This challenge is not about survival but will test their brains as each group has to find out who is the VIP in the other group.
However, the competition between classes is hindered by the exams, and the elites realize the purpose of the exams and begin their intrigue to manipulate the results. The second season will be full of interesting storylines and drama.
Volume 6 is where Classroom of the Elite Season 2 will probably end.
Classroom of the Elite Storyline
Receiving funding from the government to nurture the next generation’s hopefuls, Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School brings together the brightest youth of Japan onto a single campus. At this seemingly perfect institution, the reserved Kiyotaka Ayanokouji arrives as an incoming member of class 1-D, where he befriends one of his classmates, the antisocial Suzune Horikita.
At first, his peers revel in the academy’s leisurely lifestyle, taking advantage of all of its state-of-the-art facilities. Soon enough, however, the facade of Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School gives way to its true nature—only the top scoring classes can fully utilize the school’s offerings, and Class D is the furthest from such a status. Standing at the bottom of the hierarchy, Class D houses all of the school’s “worst” students.
Following this rude awakening, Ayanokouji, Horikita, and the rest of Class D must overcome their differences and clash against other classes in order to climb to the coveted position of Class A by any means necessary.
