Set 50 years since mankind migrated from Earth to Mars, and has depended on their AI. Carole Stanley is an orphaned girl who performs in the streets with her piano at night and works a part time job during the day. Tuesday Simmons is a rich girl who ran away from her affluent family in hopes to pursue music with her acoustic guitar. They both met for their shared passion of music and decided to perform together in a world of music that is majority dominated by AI singers.
Will There be Carole and Tuesday Season 3?
Carole and Tuesday is a 24 episodes anime television series animated by studio Bones (Mob Psycho 100,& Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) under the direction of Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo,& Terror in Resonance). It’s release is for the commemoration of the studio’s 20th anniversary of its record label FlyingDog. It premiered during spring 2019, airing on FujiTV from April 11, 2019 to October 3, 2019.
The anime doesn’t have a source material before the anime is released, though there is a manga adaptation serialized in May 2019 to July 2020 under seinen manga magazine called Young Ace by Morito Yamataka. An eight episodes of flash animated shorts are released titled Car & Tue on the series’ official Youtube channel.
So far, the directors or Bones studio hasn’t had any word regarding the renewal of Carole and Tuesday. It has been two years since the release of the anime but there is still a possibility of the anime getting renewed. There has not yet been any news of cancellation either so fans should not be discouraged just yet as there are still more chances for the series to come back in the future.
Carole and Tuesday Season 3 Release Date
As stated above, Bones studio has yet to make an announcement for the release of the third season just yet. Though it’s too early to give up on the possibility of a third season of Carole and Tuesday. The show has received an impressive 7.91 score among more than 100,000 users on MyAnimeList.
The opening and ending song for the first half of the season is performed by Nai Br.XX and Celestia Ann titled “Kiss Me” and “Hold Me Now.” While the second half is still performed by the same artists with the opening song titled “Polly Jean” and the ending sung by Alisa titled “Not Afraid.” There are many artists featured in the anime and the songs that appeared in the anime are composed by Mocky at FlyingDog.
In conclusion, there is no definitive news about the return of Carole and Tuesday for season 3 just yet. However, it is just too early to give up on the possibility just yet as it received a 100% critics rating from Rotten Tomatoes for its first season. Carole and Tuesday is one of the most popular anime to ever be in Netflix up until now thus leading to a greater possibility for the anime to be renewed.
