On the official Twitter account of the anime adaptation of “Bungo Stray Dogs” it was announced that the series will continue with a fourth season. You can see a first visual below in this article.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 Release Date

The fourth season is once again being directed by Takuya Igarashi (“Soul Eater”) at Studio BONES (Noragami, Mob Psycho 100 and The Case Study of Vanitas). Youji Enokido (“The Dragon Dentist”) is penning the script and handling series composition, while Nobuhiro Arai (Key Animation on “Josee, the Tiger and the Fish”) is once again contributing character design. The familiar voice actors can once again be heard in the main roles.

It is not known at this time when the sequel to the drama-mystery anime will launch on Japanese television. However, the streaming service Crunchyroll already confirmed that they will show the new episodes with English subtitles in the simulcast.

The twelve-part first season of “Bungo Stray Dogs” ran in the spring season 2016 in Japan. The twelve-part second season started in fall 2016, followed by the twelve-part third season in spring 2019.

Bungo Stray Dogs Plot

When Nakajima Atsushi is thrown out of the orphanage and is on the verge of starvation, he meets two bizarre characters. One of them is suicide fanatic Dazai Osamu and Atsushi catches him trying to drown himself in a river. The other is named Doppo and is always frantically flipping through a notebook.

Both are members of the “Armed Detectives,” an organization with supernatural abilities that handles cases that overwhelm even the military and police. Before Atsushi knows it, he has to help track down a man-eating tiger.
