Bleach New Season will Receive Four Courses

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War” (Jap.: “Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen”) adapts the arc of the same name from the original manga by Tite Kubo and will be produced at Studio Pierrot under the direction of director Tomohisa Taguchi (“Digimon Adventure: Kizuna”), who will also handle series composition. Character design will be contributed by Masashi Kudo (“Bleach”).

The opening song introduced in the new trailer is titled “Scar” and is composed by Tatsuya Kitani. The ending song “Saihate” is sung by SennaRin. Shiro Sagisu (“Evangelion” series) is responsible for the musical background of the sequel.

The new season is to be broadcast in a weekly rhythm over four cours with one or more breaks. 1 cour usually has 12 episodes. Since Bleach’s final arc will be airing in 4 cour, A Cour is three months at a time, so “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood” will consist of about 48 to 52 episodes (still unconfirmed).

Whether there will be a simulcast in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is not yet known at this time. At least for North America, VIZ Media has already announced a simultaneous release on a streaming platform that has not yet been named.
